Sheikh Russel Digital Lab (SRDL)

In order to expand ICT education across the nation, the Department of Information and Communication Technology has paid particular emphasis to the information technology industry. Sheikh Russel Digital Labs are being established in a number of educational institutions at the direction of the Honourable Prime Minister on the initiative of the Information and Communication Technology Division and under the supervision of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DoICT) in order to ensure the use and application of ICT and to develop skilled manpower. The establishment of those laboratories aims to provide an environment that is suitable to ICT education for elementary, secondary, and higher secondary students as well as to provide interested youngsters with informational IT training with the possibility of obtaining rewarding work possibilities both domestically and internationally.
